What is a Nissan GTR Driving Experience?
The ultimate track car, the Nissan GTR is designed to push the limits of what’s possible on a race track. We have a range of experiences that will let you feel the power and G-force these incredible machines can produce.
Indeed, the car, known as ‘Godzilla’ in Japan - where Nissan’s headquarters are based - is perfectly at home on the track, with its twin-turbo V6 engine singing and acceleration from 0 - 60 mph time of just 3.3 seconds. What’s more, this incredible machine can compete with cars that are twice the price.
Why not also take a look at our range of drifting experiences that let you burn rubber and make as much tyre smoke as you want, as you slide around corners looking out of the side windows?
For younger fans, we have a selection of experiences which let children as young as 11 years old get behind the wheel of a GTR to really be the envy of their siblings or friends!
On all our driving experiences you will be accompanied by an experienced and qualified instructor, not only to ensure the safety of the occupants but to make sure the participants have as much fun as possible within a safe environment.
If the Nissan GTR just isn’t enough fun for one day, we also have a range of experiences which let you team your GTR with another incredible supercar. From Ferraris to Aston Martins, we are sure we’ll find you the perfect accompaniment to your GTR driving experience on our selection of Blast and Thrill driving days where you can drive up to six supercars of your choice.
Where Can I Book to Drive a Nissan GTR in the UK?
Our selection of Supercar Blast and Thrill packages - on which the Nissan GTR features - illustrates the breadth of the venues and locations we have on our books here at TrackDays where it is possible to book a driving day in this high-performance car.
Indeed, our great value Nissan R34 Skyline Blast, at just £45, is a great example of this, as it is available at fifteen different venues up and down the UK. This includes well known circuits such as Blyton Park in Lincolnshire, and Castle Combe in Wiltshire.
But it also includes other venues such as former airfields or even exhibition venues such as Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire, RAF Honington in Suffolk and Abingdon Airfield in Oxfordshire. Wherever you’re based, our Location tools situated to the top left of this page will help you find the perfect driving experience day at a venue near you.
How to Book a Nissan GTR Driving Experience
Purchasing one of our open gift vouchers is both a great gift idea and the most flexible way to book your next Nissan GTR driving day package with us here at TrackDays for a time and date of your choosing.
No matter what the special occasion you’re surprising the Nissan fan in your life with, email vouchers are delivered for all orders but there are also additional gift wrap options that we can send to you via Royal Mail or DPD available at checkout.
One thing that we also pride ourselves on here at TrackDays is having the most up to the minute availability for all our experiences, as we’re regularly in touch with suppliers and venues to obtain these, so you can, if you prefer, book directly onto any forthcoming date listed on our Events Calendar.
Essential Booking Information for Nissan GTR Experiences
If you are buying an open gift voucher for a Nissan GTR package, please check as some Nissan GTR vouchers and special offers may have a shorter or longer validity period to be used and activated within, which will be clearly stated on the voucher.
If you are booking directly onto a date for a Nissan GTR Experience please note that you are making a booking request and the date and time that you choose will still be subject to availability. We usually confirm bookings within 48 hours but it’s important that you do not make any arrangements in conjunction with your booking request until you have received a final confirmation email. The immediate receipt you get when making a booking request is not the confirmation.
Other important things to consider when purchasing Nissan GTR Experiences is that the driver meets all of the requirements in terms of age, weight, height and driving licence. Each experience will have its own unique requirements so make sure you have read through the important information thoroughly.
If an experience is for junior drivers only, we will usually mention this in the name of the package, but not in all cases. If you place a booking for a Nissan GTR Experience and on the day the driver turns out to not meet the requirements then it is likely they will not get to drive and may have to settle for a passenger ride instead.
In Profile: The Nissan R34 Skyline
So what Nissan GTR is the best to drive? In our opinion, the best Nissan GTR to drive is the Nissan R34 Skyline. Instantly recognisable as the signature set of wheels for Brian O’Conner, the character of the late Paul Walker in the ever popular Fast and Furious film series, even now it remains one of our most sought after car choices for driving experience days here on TrackDays.
Fine tuned and souped up to the max, the RB engine that the Skyline R34 is kitted out with can bump out 400 bhp and impressive acceleration from 0 - 60 mph in 5.1 seconds. Not to mention that it has the same distinct silver and blue sport line livery as its on screen counterpart to really make you feel like a star of the big screen yourself.
Drivers that respond well to their instructor's guidance can expect to reach speeds of up to 120 mph in this car at certain venues. Some venues are limited in regards to the top speed achievable due to the length of the track but you can still enjoy the incredible acceleration, braking, and cornering on the shorter tracks.
Here are some of the other models from Nissan that you can drive:
Nissan 200zx Turbo
