Nissan’s 350Z model (or the Fairlady Z33 as it is known in its home territory) was first unveiled by the Japanese automotive firm, first to their home market in July 2002, and then to international markets in August of that same year.
It was their debut model in the new fifth generation of Nissan’s Z Cars division, which had started as far back as 1969, and was based on their 240Z Concept car which they had unveiled three years previously at the 1999 North American International Auto Show.
Created and conceptualized by Ajay Panchal, Nissan’s then head designer in their North American division in San Diego, California, the 350Z is a front-engine, rear wheel drive, two seater sports car, powered by a V6 engine.
It positively sings when started, packing out 276 bhp, with rapid acceleration too, from 0 - 60 mph in 5.9 seconds and 0 - 100 mph in 14.5 seconds, and is capable of top speeds in excess of 154 mph.
