The Under 17 Fun Drive and Motorsport Academy Experiences are exclusive to Bovingdon Airfield. These Driving Lessons have been specially designed with budding young driving enthusiasts aged 11 - 16 in mind.

Under the tutelage of a fully qualified instructor, the Fun Drive experiences will get them behind the wheel of a dual controlled Mazda MX-5, to learn and master basic driving skills including steering, start-stop, clutch control, gear changes and basic manoeuvres.

There are two package options available starting from as little as £69; the standard Fun Drive which offers 45 minutes' driving time with 1:1 tuition, or the Advanced Fun Drive which doubles up the driving time with 1:1 tuition to 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Motorsport Academy Drives are two brand new experiences that are also venue exclusive. These are a little bit more hands on, as not only will they have tuition in the teaching of driving fundamentals in a standard manual car, as well as how to react to driving hazards, they will also then be able to test out what they have learnt on a practice session, before undertaking a series of activities to assess their learning and knowledge.

If they successfully complete their Under 17s Skills Book, they'll then be able to obtain their Motorsport Academy Licence, which will offer them access to advance their driving further and take part in the Supercar Driving Experiences for Adults that are also hosted at Bovingdon.
