The Wacky, Weird and Wonderful. TrackDays.co.uk presents to you some of the most bonkers cars that somehow made it from paper to reality.
With the opportunity to drive many unique cars from our Famous Movie Car Experiences we have available, here at TrackDays, we decided it was time to look back at some other weird and wonderful creations that have graced our roads.
Unfortunately, flying cars are still a way off, but in 1961 you could own a car that doubled as a boat.
With rear propellers and front tyres that would act as rudders, the Amphicar was able to achieve up to 7 knots whilst in the water but that came with a not so impressive 70mph max capability on the road.
4,000 Amphicars were made during its production run, and it was considered a success; The 36th U.S President, L.B Johnson famously owned one and used to enjoy frightening visitors by driving the car straight into his ranch's lake while loudly claiming the brakes had failed.
Unfortunately for all you Bond wannabes out there, production stopped on the vehicle in 1968, due to its high price tag.
With its striking angled appearance, the Karlmann King resembled a stealth fighter plane but unfortunately you would not be able to go under the radar whilst driving this beast.
Coming in at a whopping 4,500kgs - you could upgrade this to 6000kgs if you fancied a bulletproof version - this monster SUV included many standard extras like a HD 4k TV, a fridge, electric table and even your own coffee machine.
The 'most expensive SUV' starts at a base price of $1,08 million (£934,000) but this can rise to $3.8 million (£3,286,297).
Looking like something out of a 1980s futuristic sci-fi movie, the Ferrari 512S Modulo concept car looked like it was ready to take off and it had the power under the hood to back that up.
Resembling a flattened Ferrari, this supercar could reach a maximum speed of 219mph – impressive considering it was unveiled all the way back in the 1970 Geneva Motor Show.
However, if you are looking to make a speedy exit following your arrival, think again: there were no doors. Getting in and out of this Ferrari would be through removing either the windshield or side windows.
We will let this inconvenience slide as we believe it is the perfect addition for all of those wanting to imitate Tom Cruise on the set of Top Gun!
No list would be complete without a quick nod to Fiat's 1999 Type 186 Multipla. Italian's have always been renowned for their stylistic taste, but it is safe to say that Fiat misunderstood the assignment in a major way with this car.
The Multipla looked like it was created by Dr Frankenstein himself as it resembled multiple cars being moulded together: the bottom and top half of the car did not seem to match the bottom giving it a weird, squashed complex.
It also had six headlamps which adorned the front, including two on the windshield – clearly the designers wanted this MPV to avoid any obstacles which could make this car even uglier than it already was.
Unfortunately, this car won many awards for the wrong reasons and the Telegraph newspaper voted it the second ugliest vehicle produced back in 2008.
