As it currently stands, the legal age to start driving lessons in the UK is 17 years old. However, you can apply for a provisional driving licence when you are 15 years and 9 months old. So if this is you right now, or you've just turned 16 years old, our Young Driver Training sessions are the perfect way to get a head start on your driving before you start your full time lessons for real.

Currently, there are a total of four sessions available to book at over 60 dedicated Young Driver Training venues all over the country. There's the 30 Minute session and the 60 Minute session, which are conducted in a dual controlled manual Vauxhall Corsa. We also have the same session lengths in an automatic dual controlled Vauxhall Corsa available to book too.

The content on these sessions has been designed with the young driver in mind, focussing on key skills and techniques to help you learn and master the basics of driving, all done under the guidance of a qualified ARDS instructor in a safe and carefully controlled environment, with layouts that closely resemble real life road conditions.

And because it's done in a relaxed setup, you'll find you'll learn and pick things up more easily - vital when you're getting used to all the controls, steering, gears and pedals for the first time, as well as things like manoeuvring, turning, reversing and parking.

And in fact, there's extensive research which has been done, which shows that 1 in 5 newly qualified drivers without any prior experience to their full time driving lessons are more likely to crash within their first six months on the road. So looked at objectively, this'll be giving you one up on your mates in sixth form, college or apprenticeships.

And if you're as young as 10 years old, you can start taking sessions now. One thing we do notice with our customers is that they'll book one Young Driver Training session for their child when they are 10, and they will subsequently come back to book for more - sometimes once a year - until they're 16. So that's practically six years' worth of experience you'll have acquired before you've even hit the road!
