Developed and manufactured by Reynard from 1991 to 1992, the Formula 1 Vauxhall Lotus is, as its name suggests, the meeting of two giants of motor racing in one supremely fast single seater race car.
Vauxhall’s contribution is from the engineering, as it is kitted out with their signature 3.5 litre engine, that powers out 377 bhp, whilst Lotus’ classic design philosophy of ‘Simplify, then add lightness’ is implemented into the streamlined chassis.
This of course all adds up to some mighty speed stats that it clocks up once out on the track. Acceleration from 0 - 60 mph to 4.8 seconds, and possible top speeds of over 170 mph.
