Circuito Ascari, which also goes by the name of the Ascari Race Resort, is a premium race circuit close to the city of Ronda in the Spanish region of Malaga. The name for the circuit comes from the legendary Italian racing driver Alberto Ascari who is regarded as one of the greatest Formula One racing drivers of all time. The track is usually used for track training, test drives and corporate events and presentations with occasional race events. The circuit is owned by Dutch Entrepreneur Klaas Zwart who is a former racing driver and founder of Ascari Cars.
The Ascari circuit is unique in design, in that it was built using layouts of the best corners from the best circuit across Europe and the US. The full length of the track is 5.425 miles and has 6 possible configurations available. There is a total of 26 corners, 13L + 13R. The main straight is a jaw-dropping 470 meters and with a width of 12 meters, there is plenty of overtaking opportunities.
