KEY POINTS
Unbelievably, this year marks the 25th anniversary of the first film in the long running Fast and Furious franchise, with The Fast and the Furious hitting the big screen back in the summer of 2001. And it certainly has its fans across many generations, even 25 years on - as we can attest here at Trackdays.

And if you live life a quarter mile at a time, and are curious to know which models you can take the wheel of on this unique experience at venues across the UK, we thought we’d profile three of the very best that fans will instantly recognise and want to tick off their bucket list…
First Featured In: The Fast and the Furious (2001)
Why You Should Drive the Toyota Supra: Taking it back to the very beginning, we couldn’t highlight our best Fast and Furious car selections without mentioning the “10 second car” driven by Paul Walker’s character, Brian O’Conner, in the epic final race scene in the first film that even now is a big fan favourite.
First produced by Toyota in 1994, this sleekly designed yet agile beast powers out an impressive 326 bhp from a 3.6 litre engine, with lightning acceleration from 0-60mph in 4.9 seconds. And its big screen stardom has undoubtedly been a big factor in its popularity amongst both JDM car enthusiasts and street racers alike.
First Featured In: The Fast and the Furious (2001)
Why You Should Drive the Dodge Charger RT: It was the car that Vin Diesel’s character, Dom Toretto, was too scared to drive after his father’s passing in the first film of the series. But it was then driven by him in dramatic style in that climactic and nail-biting race against Brian’s Supra.
And one look at this classic yet foreboding and weighty American muscle car should offer all the confirmation as to why it is one to fear. A predecessor of models first produced in the late 1960s by Dodge, our faithful recreation of the 1970 model - supercharger and all through the bonnet as seen on screen - is powered on a V8 engine offering out 425 bhp, and top speeds of around 145 mph. It’s loud, brash and really good fun to drive.
First Featured In: 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)
Why You Should Drive the Nissan Skyline R34: First produced by the Japanese automotive giant in 1999, some could argue that it was Fast and Furious which put the Skyline R34 on the map for a global audience, as it was the wheels of choice for Brian in the second instalment of the films.
Its small yet mighty 2.6-litre twin-turbo inline-six engine is fine tuned and packs out a phenomenal 276bhp, accelerating from 0-60mph in 5.1 seconds, with an all-wheel drive system that offers superb control and traction out on track. In short, it’s everything you could want from a JDM performance car - speed, precision and aggression.
