Here at Trackdays, we love the arrival of spring - because it's when the UK motorsport season truly gets into gear!
Whether it's two or four wheels, circuits around the country are welcoming back paying punters through their gates, all keen to reacquaint themselves with their favourite racers and see how the season unfolds.
So, as pole positions are decided and chequered flags are waved, we take a look at some of this season's first rounds and best racing events.
Last season's championship was incredible, with the title being decided on the very last corner of the very last race. It was one of those sporting events that had spectators scratching their heads in disbelief and rubbing their eyes in amazement.
It will be hard for the 2025 season to repeat the same high level of excitement, but we're keeping our fingers crossed that it does.
The first race is at Oulton Park from 3rd to 5th May when reigning champion Kyle Ryde will commence battle with Tommy Bridewell, Glen Irwin and other main contenders.
It's a championship we'll keep a close eye on all the way through to the final round at Brands Hatch in October. Circuits it will visit in the season include Snetterton, Thruxton and Cadwell Park.
Donington Park on 26th and 27th April hosts the season opener for the BTCC, which also ends in October at Brands Hatch.
Fought over 10 weekends, Jake Hill was the winner in 2024 in the compelling series which visited Silverstone, Oulton Park and Croft among others.
The BTCC is one of the world's most illustrious, and longest, motor racing championships and can trace its roots back to 1957/58.
It has spawned some famous racing drivers including the likes of Jason Plato, Andy Rouse, John Cleland and Alain Menu. 2025 will once again draw the crowds as battle commences at some of the UK's best-loved race circuits.
It doesn't get much more extreme than the BTRC which roars into life at Brands Hatch on 19th and 20th April.
A capacity grid will battle it out across seven rounds which also ends at Brands Hatch (where else!) in November. 2024 saw Ryan Smith celebrate title glory in Division 1 and John Powell took the crown in Division 2.
The BTRC is, literally, one of the biggest motorsport championships in the UK with the 'big rigs' weighing in at more than five tonnes and producing in excess of 1,000bhp. This year's racing, once again, promises edge of the seat action and wheel to wheel duels.
With Trackdays, you can actually take to the asphalt where your favourite racers do battle. Circuits you can drive on include all the above mentioned, plus many more in all corners of the UK.
So, if you fancy taking to the starting grid on our Car Track Days and Bike Track Days at venues like Goodwood, Castle Combe, or Mallory Park, then you can!
