What is by far the most exciting event in the calendar for all British motorsport fans is upon us once more, with next weekend's F1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone shaping up to be one of the best yet.

But fans waiting with anticipation for the race to get under way may also be interested to know that they can have the chance to enjoy some on-grid action of their very own, with our Formula 1 Driving Experiences that get them behind the wheel of some truly epic single seaters - and these are just some of the best ones you can book on for today…

• F1000 Single Seater Academy Driving Experience - 14 Laps - from £69, Bovingdon Airfield

Why You Should Book This Experience: The F1000 is one of the fastest single seaters that is available to book in our fleet, and more than ever, it's being booked for this very affordable price at our Hertfordshire venue on a unique academy style driving package.

An expert motorsports instructor will meet with you to go through a full 30 minute safety briefing, covering apexes, racing lines, throttle and braking techniques and also important track etiquette. Your pre-drive will consist of two sets of 2 laps, both focussing on reaction training and car control, followed by 4 sighting laps (with 1 high speed passenger lap) in the track taxi car.

Then comes the fun part, as you take 4 driving laps under yellow flag conditions in the F1000, before the yellow flag comes up for you to do 2 further driving laps unrestricted with 1:1 tuition from the motorsport instruction team!

• Formula Renault Thrill - from £159, 4 locations nationwide

Why You Should Book This Experience: For those across the rest of the UK, there's also our Formula Renault 2000 models, similar to those driven by F1 greats such as Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen.

And at venues ranging from Three Sisters Circuit in Wigan to Blyton Park in Leicestershire, you can look forward to this incredible package which gets you into the cockpit of this supremely powered racing car.

Following your welcome and briefing, you'll kit up and do a familiarisation lap behind a pace car. Then, as it pulls into the pits, that's when you get to head out for 11 unaccompanied laps on track, feeling even the smallest bit of the adrenaline rush F1 drivers must feel.

• Silverstone Formula Single Seater Experience - from £314, Silverstone Circuit

Why You Should Book This Experience: Very little explanation is needed as to why we've chosen the one. Because if you're gonna go out on track in a single seater, you've got to do it at the home of the British GP.

We'd go so far as to say that this will give you a newfound understanding and respect for F1 drivers, as you'll be taking to the iconic Stowe circuit formation where, following a 30 minute briefing, you'll do a 10 minute driving session behind a pace car, followed by a 20 minute driving session without the pace car.

The instruction team on the day will also give you a 15 minute debrief at the end to let you know what you did well and where you could improve for next time. Either way, you'll be able to have eternal bragging rights that you raced where some of motorsport's finest did so before you!

• Racing Car Driving Experience - from £199, Thruxton Circuit

Why You Should Book This Experience: Of course, it's not just Silverstone that can claim bragging rights to being one of the best circuits in the country. So too, can Thruxton Circuit in Hampshire, home to the longest circuit at 2.4 miles per lap, as well as some of the fastest high speed corners of any UK circuit.

And this exciting package combines driving in a Formula Renault single seater for 5 laps, as well as 3 laps driving in the super sporty Alpine A110S prior to that (following your 3 demonstration laps and briefing with the instructor).
