Musical Motors: Five Famous Songs Where the Car's the Star - News

One of life's pleasures is listening to a favourite track behind the wheel. So does it get any better than when that song has a 'car' theme? Here at Trackdays, we don't think so. We've compiled our own pick of the pops which gets our motor running!

Pink Cadillac

Originally written by Bruce Springsteen, this song achieved even further popularity when it was covered by Natalie Cole later in the 1980s.

The Cadillac is an iconic American motor, a genre that we can truly associate with. US models from across the pond in our fleet include the Chevrolet Corvette C7, Dodge Charger and Ford Gran Torino.

If you want to taste one of these awesome automobiles, then make tracks for Llanbedr Airfield, Perranporth Airfield, Sandtoft Airfield and Wattisham Airfield, which are among other venues where you'll find our American muscle cars.

Drive My Car

The Fab Four wrote a fab song in 1965 and any tune that focuses on driving is a hit with us. Some of the lyrics allude to being a famous film star, and you can be an A-lister by getting behind the wheel on one of our Famous Movie Car experiences.

Whether it's an Aston Martin made famous by a suave secret agent, a classic Mini Cooper that did the job in Italy or a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 that created a buzz, these camera hungry motors always deliver a blockbuster performance (popcorn not supplied).

Mustang Sally

We return Stateside and pay homage to the Mustang which featured in Wilson Pickett's smash hit.

Mustangs available to drive with us include the Mustang GT and GT350, both monstrous motors that offer 435bhp and 306bhp respectively.

Driving In My Car

UK talent, Madness, spread some happiness with this fun song about a car in need of a bit of love and attention. Of course, when booking a driving experience with us, you'll be driving top of the range models, where safety is paramount.

These cars, such as Ferraris, McLarens, Lamborghinis and Aston Martins, would grace garages in Beverley Hills but you can find them much closer to home in Aldershot, Anglesey, North Weald, Stoneleigh and Woodbridge, to name just a few locations.

In 1964 the Beach Boys were in tune about the T-Bird and you can also have fun, fun, fun when putting pedal to the metal with Trackdays.
