• New Faces, Same Passion

Seven teams have revamped their line-ups for the 2024 season, ushering in a fresh wave of talent and experience. Notable among these changes is Trackhouse Racing's debut, replacing RNF after a series of infractions. The line-up includes Raul Fernandez and Miguel Oliveira, both looking to make their mark with Aprilia's satellite team.

The addition of six-time MotoGP champion Marc Marquez to Gresini Racing is a major coup for the 2024 season. Marquez, ending a legendary partnership with Honda, brings a wealth of experience to Gresini, aiming to improve upon the team's sixth-place finish in the 2023 teams' championship. Racing alongside his younger brother Alex, the Marquez duo is set to ignite sibling rivalry on the track.

• Ducati's Dominance Continues

Ducati, winners of the 2023 constructors' standings, are poised for another strong season. Led by the reigning world champion Francesco Bagnaia, Ducati aims for a third consecutive title. Bagnaia, the odds-on favourite for the 2024 championship, could achieve the rare feat of winning three consecutive titles, a feat last accomplished by Marc Marquez in 2018.

Enea Bastianini, overcoming a challenging 2023 season with injuries, is determined to support Bagnaia and clinch the teams' championship for Ducati. This success hinges on a combination of Bagnaia's dominance and Bastianini's resilience.

• Unveiling the 2024 Calendar

The 2024 MotoGP calendar promises to be another blockbuster year of track action, with a record-breaking 22 Grand Prix. The return of the Kazakhstan Grand Prix after a cancellation in 2023 will add an exciting twist.

Aragon, though retaining its spot on the calendar, has shifted to an earlier date on September 1, offering a fresh challenge for the riders. The 2024 calendar retains its regionalised nature, with races being grouped geographically with 11 races before the summer break and 11 after, making it the perfect balance.

The season kicks off with the iconic Qatar Grand Prix on March 10, featuring its renowned night race.

• Marquez's Pursuit of Records

As Marc Marquez gears up for his Gresini Racing debut, the eight-time World Champion has his sights set on rewriting history.

A potential ninth world title would see Marquez equal the legendary achievements of Valentino Rossi, Mike Hailwood, and Carlo Ubbiali. Furthermore, Marquez could become the first rider to win the MotoGP title with an Independent Team in the MotoGP era.
