Donington Park Leads As The UK's Most Popular Race Track - News

• Donington Park takes pole position as the UK track day enthusiasts destination of choice
• Brands Hatch and Snetterton tie for second place in hotly contested race for the crown
• Belgium's Spa Francorchamps takes the European crown for those that wish to experience a track day abroad

Donington Park has raced to the top of the podium as the UK's most booked track day venue, beating other iconic tracks such as Brands Hatch, Snetterton, and even Silverstone.

The Derby-based track accumulated 19% of our bookings across the last year, according to our latest booking data here on TrackDays, putting it ahead of both Brands Hatch and Snetterton, who both had to settle for second place with 12% of the bookings each.

The top three racetracks, which each host some of the UK's largest racing events such as the British Touring Car Championship, are all deemed as premier tracks in the motoring world with each one providing its own unique drive for those who wish to take their car out for a spin on a track.

Dan Jones, Operations Manager at TrackDays.co.uk, says: "With the UK having an extensive list of popular racing tracks, each one rich with its own unique heritage, coming out on top will be another proud moment for Donington Park."

Meanwhile, in the battle for top track out on the European continent, Belgium's Spa Francorchamps (57% of bookings) came out as a comfortable winner, beating Nürburgring (21%) and Zandvoort (18%) who came in second and third place respectively.

Dan adds: "Driving on Spa Francorchamps is the holy grail for many track day enthusiasts, with its high-speed sections and daring long corners, it is hard to argue with its position on the leaderboard, especially when you consider the attention Nürburgring normally gets."
