At TrackDays, we've recently seen a surge in bookings on all our Tesla packages, with bookings for our electric vehicle (EV) packages trebling compared to this time last year.

Additionally, half of all Tesla package bookings are for the Tesla Model S 'Ludicrous' P90D Thrill. Being one of the fastest saloon cars in the world, accelerating from 0 - 60 mph in 2.6 seconds in 'ludicrous' mode, it's no surprise that thrillseekers are eager to get their hands on this remarkable car.

Dan Jones, operations manager at TrackDays.co.uk, says: "It's becoming clear that more Brits are showing curiosity in electric vehicles both on our public roads and when booking driving experiences, as we've seen a 300% increase in the booking of our Tesla packages compared to this time last year!"

"Aside from the necessity to move towards electrification on our roads due to the changing climate, they're also exciting cars to drive."

"And the instantaneous power, grip and mind boggling performance of the Tesla Model S P90D is testament to the overwhelming popularity of experiencing this speedster, and why it accounts for half of all our Tesla package bookings."

Furthermore, the ever increasing adoption of electrification on Britain's roads would suggest that more people are looking to evaluate a potential change to EVs in their day to day lives.

Moreover, the amount of available public EV charging points has increased by 220% over the last six years, as well as the amount of registered EVs surging to almost 800,000 this year, compared to less than 200,000 in 2018.

And Dan argues that driving experiences could go some way towards increasing EV adoption: "Getting the chance to test drive a car at your local EV dealer can be a tricky and long winded process, so getting to drive one as part of a track day experience can give motorists the trial they need when deciding whether to make that leap to all electric or not."
