Track day calendar updated with ‘last ever’ Rockingham dates - News

Both Trackdays bike and car track day calendars have been updated with the latest and more than likely last ever Rockingham dates, with the Corby venue set to close its doors to the motorsport world at the end of the year.

Rockingham Motor Speedway Ltd announced in August that the circuit wouldn’t be taking on any future events and would cease all motorsport and circuit-related activities in 2019, with the sites new owners looking to take the venue in a different direction.

A popular destination for track day enthusiasts, Rockingham’s closure has been described as a ‘crying shame’. But with a few months of the season remaining, there’s still time to experience the Speedway before it closes its doors for good.

• Bike - Friday 12 October - International Circuit
• Bike - Saturday 13 October - International Circuit
• Car - Saturday 10 November - International Circuit
• Car - Saturday 17 November - International Circuit

Rockingham’s new owners, Rockingham Automotive LLP, have revealed that the site is set to become ‘one of the largest automotive facilities in the UK’ that could create up to 200 jobs in the area.
