Bond left Fast and Furious in film franchise driving battle - News

  • As the latest instalment of James Bond, No Time To Die, draws closer, TrackDays.co.uk has pitted the franchise against the popular Fast and Furious series
  • TrackDays' Aston Martin Thrill Experience accounted for 15% of movie car bookings
  • But Fast and Furious took the movie car crown, attracting 22% of bookings

Villains, exotic locations, and gadgets are synonymous with James Bond, but it's often the cars that steal the show in one of the most iconic movie franchises of all time.

So as the premiere of the latest instalment of James Bond, No Time To Die, draws ever closer, at TrackDays, we've decided to point the Goldfinger at the cars of Mister Bond and the racers of Fast and Furious, to see which of their Movie Car experiences is the biggest hit with fans.

Fast and Furious faces stiff competition. Fans seemingly never say never to our Aston Martin Thrill experience, which includes six miles in the V8 Vantage, as seen in Pierce Brosnan's Die Another Day.

Dan Jones, operations manager at TrackDays.co.uk, says: "Clearly our Aston Martin Thrill Experience has an unbreakable bond with fans of agent 007, as it attracted 15% of all our bookings in the three months to the end of August."

And yet, Fast and Furious is the first to see the chequered flag in the battle of the film franchises, leaving 007 to the fate of the furious. Our Triple Fast and Furious Blast with High-Speed Passenger Ride has accounted for approximately 22% of all their bookings in the same period.

With this package, fans have the chance to drive a range of vehicles, including the Nissan Skyline GTR R34, Chevrolet Camaro SS, Dodge 'Dom's' Charger R/T and Toyota Supra 2JZ.

Dan added: "It's unsurprising that fans have flocked to our Fast and Furious offering. The series is full of iconic vehicles, many of which are the centre point of some of the most memorable scenes from the movies, including Paul Walker's emotional final scene in the seventh iteration, and the Toyota Supra, the vehicle which sealed the bond between Brian and Dom at the conclusion of the original film."
