In a dual controlled Kia Ceed training car, this 30 minute session is priced under £50, and is the perfect introductory session for junior drivers aged 10 - 17 to take their first steps. A qualified instructor will guide them through the basics such as pulling away, braking, steering and changing gears.
But even if your child has had some prior experience, the session can be adapted as required. And there's more, because they will also receive a driving certificate on completion of their lesson to take home!

Your child will be at the wheel of a dual controlled Citroen C1, with a certified instructor beside them as they take in the fundamentals of road safety, vehicle mechanics and road traffic laws, master essential manoeuvres including braking and steering, all whilst practicing these skills and testing their decision making abilities in simulated driving scenarios and realistic road hazards.

The dedicated Under 17 Fun Drives and Motorsport Academy experiences at the London Motor Circuit on Bovingdon Airfield in Hertfordshire have been running for just over two years now and have become well established and very popular.
An array of Junior Learner Driver sessions, varying in length from 30 minutes all the way up to 3 hours are available to book here, although our personal choice we'd recommend is in the Porsche Boxster. Conducted by a fully qualified instructor - from whom they'll get a safety briefing prior to starting - they'll first have an instructor driven lap of about 10 minutes to help them get accustomed.
Then the remaining 50 minutes of this 1 hour session will see your son or daughter at the wheel, as under the guidance of the motorsport instruction team, they'll receive 1:1 tuition on steering, start-stop, clutch control, gear changing and much more besides.
Plus, there'll be an opportunity for a break so they can stretch their legs and take in what they've just learnt. One thing you will notice is that the encouragement from the team will help them grow markedly in confidence as the lesson progresses!
If your youngsters are in their mid-late teens and are based in Scotland, then Knockhill Racing Circuit - the only MSA and FIA-graded professional circuit north of Scotch Corner - has a dedicated driving experience available to book, designed with teenagers specifically in mind.
On a safe and enclosed tarmaced area of the circuit, there's no pressure from public traffic to worry about during this session, offering both you and your teen peace of mind and a relaxed environment that will provide optimum conditions to learn and grow in confidence behind the wheel.
They can expect to be part of a 3 ½ hour long group session covering road safety, topics that are likely to come up on their theory test, and progressive driving sessions in a dual controlled saloon car, focusing on the basics.
