Book a full day at a professional forge to make a hand forged knife with this Knife Making Course in Carmarthenshire. After being welcomed with an introduction to the forge you will be shown all the tools and materials you need for the workshop and be provided with safety equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, apron etc). You will start your day by making a small project to get used to the techniques and using the forge before getting started on your knife. Your experienced instructor will give you all the tips and tricks to professional knife and blade making, how to select the right type of steel for forging the rough blade shape and how to refine the shape of the blade as well as using bevels to grind. You will also be shown how to heat treat and style the knife to get your preferred shape. After your day in the forge you can take your new handmade knife home with you!
