Experience the excitement of driving a powerful HGV in Eddie Stobart style at an off-road training centre near Exeter, Devon, with just a regular driving license. These impressive vehicles weigh 44 tonnes, are 55 feet long, and boast 460 bhp with a 12-speed automatic gearbox! Your adventure starts with a meet-and-greet with your truck and instructor. After a passenger ride in the cab where you’ll learn about the vehicle, you’ll receive a safety briefing before getting behind the wheel for approximately an hour of driving, supported by your instructor. The expansive airfield allows you to drive without the distraction of other road users. You’ll practice tight cornering, a slalom course, reversing, and lane changing, and may even learn to uncouple the 45-foot trailer. Fuel is included in the price, so there is no need to worry about refuelling, even though these lorries average just six miles per gallon!
