Lamborghini introduced their Gallardo LP560 model at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. It marked a significant change and new direction from the existing Gallardo supercar, which had already been in production for four years by this point.
The most significant of these changes was in the engineering of the car, as it saw Lamborghini’s incorporation of their ‘Iniezione Diretta Stratificata’ (IDS) direct fuel injection system. This almost immediately makes for a very different car, not just in efficiency but also in terms of power and performance.
Powered by a new 5.2 litre V10 engine, it roars to a far greater 552 bhp, accelerating from 0 - 60 mph in a rapid 3.7 seconds. And once you’re behind the wheel, you can anticipate reaching speeds of up to 202 mph.
