Based in Leeds in West Yorkshire, Ginetta Cars have now been producing specialist sports and racing cars for over 60 years. Their latest model, the Ginetta G40, was first unveiled a decade ago in 2010, as the successor to both the Ginetta G20 race car and Ginetta G50 road car.
In fact, that’s what is part of the G40’s unique appeal. Just a glance at its styling and design, and its streamlined, beveled edges are designed with the track in mind, its orange and white racing livery evoking fond memories of the classic Ford ‘Le Mans ‘66’ GT40 that we also offer for driving experiences here at TrackDays.
Yet at the same time, it is fully road legal, offering fantastic handling for its driver, with power coming from a fine tuned 1600 Zetec engine that powers out an exceptional 165 bhp. This also helps it to clock in some mightily impressive speed stats, with acceleration from 0 - 60 mph in just 6.8 seconds, and a top speed of 120 mph.
