BMW Driving Experiences
When it comes to high-performance cars, you can’t go wrong with a BMW. They have the performance to match even the fastest of supercars, and have the comfort of a luxury cruiser when you just want to slow down and relax a little. We have a wide selection of track day experiences that let you get behind the wheel of some of the most popular cars from the German automotive firm.
Aggressive and powerful, the BMW M3 drives like it’s fuelled by testosterone with unbelievable acceleration and handling capabilities. We have a selection of M3s available at a variety of locations across the country, including the E46, E90 and even a track prepared E36 EVO available for our special Arrive and Drive track day packages.
This performance car dream is fitted with a full roll cage and is powered by a 3.2 litre straight six capable of 0 to 60mph in just 5.0 seconds thanks to its 320bhp. The E90 M3 we have on offer is certainly a surprising beast for a saloon car. Unusually for an M3, the E90 is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 engine producing 420bhp and is capable of 0 to 60mph in just 4.7 seconds.
If you’re looking for the latest in sports car technology take a look at the BMW i8. This hybrid engine sports car offers futuristic looks and performance to match. Powered by a tiny 1.5 litre 3-cylinder turbocharged engine along with a pair of electric motors, this hybrid engine combination gives the i8 an impressive 356bhp and a 0-60mph time of just 4.4 seconds.
Where Can I Take a BMW Driving Experience in the UK?
Wherever you’re based in the country, a BMW driving day is closer to you than you think. Our range of locations we have available includes Bovingdon Airfield in Hertfordshire and Carver Barracks in Essex in the South. Meanwhile up North, petrolheads can book to drive the latest high-performance car from the German giant at Three Sisters Circuit in Wigan or Elvington in Yorkshire.
Finding it couldn’t be easier either - at the top of this page, to the left of your screen you will find our Location and Regions tools. Simply type your postcode into the former to see all available matching experiences within a given radius, or use the latter to filter experiences by which part of the UK you’re in.
How to Book a BMW Driving Experience
You will find all of our amazing packages listed above which make great gifts for any BMW fan, no matter what the special occasion may be; Christmas, birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day. The list goes on. You can order an open gift voucher or book directly onto a date.
If you are buying an open gift voucher for a BMW driving day package, please check carefully, as some BMW vouchers and special offers may have a shorter or longer validity period to be used and activated within, which will be clearly stated on the voucher.
If you are booking directly onto a date for a BMW Experience, please note that you are making a booking request and the date and time that you choose will still be subject to availability.
We usually confirm bookings within 48 hours but it’s important that you do not make any arrangements in conjunction with your booking request until you have received a final confirmation email. The immediate receipt you get when making a booking request is not the confirmation.
Other important things to consider when purchasing BMW Experiences is that the driver meets all of the requirements in terms of age, weight, height and driving licence. Each experience will have its own unique requirements so make sure you have read through the important information thoroughly.
If an experience is for junior drivers only, we will usually mention this in the name of the package but not in all cases. If you place a booking for a BMW Experience and on the day the driver turns out to not meet the requirements, then it is likely they will not get to drive and may have to settle for a passenger ride instead.
Featured Car - The BMW i8
So what BMW is the best to drive? In our opinion, the best BMW to drive is the BMW i8. This supercar went into production in 2014 as part of BMW's 'Project i' electronic fleet. The i8 concept was initially unveiled at the 2009 International Motor Show in Germany before the production version was unveiled in 2013, and before going into production in 2014. The i8 uses a 6-speed paddle-shift transmission and packs a 1.5L turbocharged I3 gasoline engine, along with a 98 KW electric motor.
Drivers that respond well to their instructor's guidance can expect to reach speeds of up to 120mph in this car at certain venues. Some venues are limited in regards to the top speed achievable due to the length of the track but you can still enjoy the incredible acceleration, braking, and cornering on the shorter tracks.
