RAF Wittering is an active military base in Peterborough. Though it no longer houses any military aircraft such as the Harrier, there is still the flight schools that teach cadets to become pilots for the Royal Air Force.

The airfield strip has also been used for many own car track days and offers participants a 1.8 mile coned out circuit that is challenging as it is quick.
