With the 2022 World Rally Championship now underway, at TrackDays we are gearing up for a surge in bookings for our Rally Driving Experience packages.
Indeed, 20th January saw the World Rally Championship season opener in Rallye Monte-Carlo, veteran racer Sébastien Loeb triumphing over his compatriot, Sébastien Ogier, to claim top of the podium.
Dan Jones, operation manager at TrackDays.co.uk, says: "Petrol heads and thrillseekers alike may well look to replicate the action of the professionals as the Championship got off to an exhilarating start along the tarmac and snow of Monaco."
Also at TrackDays this month, we have now relaunched our range of Solo Rally Experiences at Silverstone Rally School for both Adults and Juniors, which offers the chance to buckle up and master the art of rally driving in iconic rally models such as the Subaru Impreza STi for the adults and a rally customised Ford KA for young drivers aged 14 - 17 over a series of 30, 60 and 90 minute sessions as they power slide through dust and dirt.
Dan concludes with a challenge to thrill seekers who dare to get behind the wheel of a thoroughbred rally car: "Rally driving requires composure to drive at speed on surfaces such as asphalt and gravel, presenting a totally different challenge to on track experiences. This makes rally driving the perfect opportunity for those looking to test their skills behind the wheel."
