After withstanding yet another cold and dark winter, it's summer's turn to shine, as UK motoring fans up and down the country will be visiting their favourite motoring events.
And with restrictions not allowing many Brits to visit their much–loved events for the last couple years, with many events being cancelled, 2022 could prove to be a year to never forget for the automobile as we celebrate all things cars.
So here at Trackdays.co.uk we thought we would list some of the most iconic motoring events that you should visit with your friends and family this summer.
Arguably the pinnacle of all sporting events in the UK, and certainly one of the crown jewel races in the F1 calendar, the British Grand Prix sits proudly as a classic summer event for racing obsessed Brits.
A staggering 350,000 fans attended Silverstone in Northamptonshire for the weekend in 2021. And with F1 reaching new levels of popularity following Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton's titanic title battle, there's no doubt that this year's event will once again be one of the most popular events in 2022 on Sunday 3rd July.
And if you're inspired by the action on track, you too can take to the cockpit of a high–powered single seater with our Formula F1000 Gold Driving Experience.
Created by car enthusiast and radio personality, Chris Evans, Car Fest has become one of the ultimate staples of British summer, celebrating all things music, food, and motoring.
Established with the intention of raising money for UK children's charities, Car Fest has raised £19 million over the past 10 years, and plans to further increase that tally as Brits come flooding to the festival again in 2022 after two difficult years due to the COVID–19 pandemic.
Car Fest in 2022 takes place on 22nd – 24th July at Bolesworth Estate in Cheshire, and 26th – 28th August at Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire, and is the best place to be this summer if you're looking to celebrate the past, present and future of cars, and most of all, have a wonderful time in the British sun.
Looking for something a little more luxurious? Look no further than the Salon Privé car show that takes place at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire, from 31st August – 3rd September.
Being the UK's most exclusive and glamorous automotive garden party, it has become the centerpiece for all motoring luxury enthusiasts as they come together to share their passion for the high life in motoring.
And with a chance to enjoy the late–summer sun and see some of the finest cars at one of the most exquisite locations in the country, there aren't many better events than Salon Privé.
And if you're searching for more high–class motoring with some esteemed names and cars, then the Goodwood Revival from 16th–18th September as the sun sets on our summer could be just the ticket.
Created with the purpose of reliving the glory days of motorsport in the UK, some of the biggest names in motorsport arrive at Goodwood to race some classic cars in front of a bumper crowd.
It's also an excuse to dress for the occasion, with attendees mixing the summer warmth with period clothing from the 1940s to 1960s, it truly is a unique and spectacular event that can't be missed for any petrol head.
Will you be attending these events this year? If so, we'd love to hear from you. And if, like the Goodwood Revival and Salon Privé, you're looking to take to the track in some iconic classic cars, be sure to check out our Classic Car Experiences page to book from available dates on our Classic Car Experiences Calendar or purchase one of our open Gift Vouchers.
