New data shows thrill seekers lived life to the max in 2020 - News

  • Even in an unprecedented year, new data shows Brits still crave excitement and adrenaline rushes
  • Multiple supercar packages take the lion’s share of the most popular bookings in 2020 with TrackDays.co.uk
  • Five Supercar Blast experiences, including Lamborghinis, Aston Martins and Porsches, takes 2020’s chequered flag!

Newly released annual data from TrackDays shows that many Brits, far from holding back in an unprecedented year, actually took the opportunity to live life to the full.

By far the most popular experiences in our top 10 listings for the last 12 months, were multiple supercar packages where drivers experienced a range of exotic models rather than just one vehicle.

In fact, multiple supercar experiences accounted for half of all our most popular bookings, with the Five Supercar Blast, where drivers can put pedal to the metal in prestige models such as Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches and Aston Martins among others, actually took the chequered flag, with more than half as many bookings than its nearest competitor.

Dan Jones, operations manager at TrackDays.co.uk, says: “Despite the challenges presented in 2020, it’s very encouraging to see that many people wanted to let go and put the stresses and strains behind them for a short while on a race track driving a selection of super fast models. Indeed, although we offer a wide variety of single supercar experiences, it would appear that isn’t enough to quell the appetite of many Brits looking to drive as many supercars as they can, and who are we to blame them!”

Meanwhile, the second most popular packages in 2020 were for young drivers aged between 10 and 17 looking to learn to drive, including being taught techniques as acceleration and braking, in a safe and controlled environment.

Dan added: “Young driver experiences also remained consistently popular throughout the year, hopefully a reminder to us all that life will return to normal and that long term plans, together with the opportunity to learn new things, shouldn’t be put on hold forever.”

All our driving experiences on TrackDays adhere to the latest official advice regarding COVID-19 and social distancing measures, including temperature checks and frequent use of hand sanitiser.
