Here at Trackdays, we're proud to say we have teamed up with a leading supplier for Driving with a Disability at a Leicestershire driving experience circuit and Guide Dogs for a one-off special fundraising event.
The fun day, exclusively available to book with TrackDays.co.uk, from which we will be donating a percentage of proceeds from bookings to Guide Dogs, takes place at Prestwold Hall near Loughborough on Wednesday 21st August.
Those with a disability or visual impairment can get behind the wheel of an amazing supercar, with two special versions of our Adaptive and Blind Supercar Driving Experiences, offering double the driving time in a hand-picked behemoth.
The chance to raise money for Guide Dogs by booking a supercar driving experience is just part of the fun day, which will also see the Guide Dogs demonstration team showcase the skills of the guide dogs.
There will also be inspirational talks from blind daredevil and champion fundraiser Mike Bennett with his guide dog Usher, plus a raffle.
Dan Jones, operations manager at TrackDays.co.uk, says: "The Guide Dogs Day at Prestwold Hall promises to be a fun day raising money for a great cause."
"TrackDays.co.uk is donating £10 from the sale of each adaptive and blind supercar driving experience it has organised for this special event, so make sure to book now to avoid disappointment."
"The cherry-picked supercars have been adapted with temporary or fixed hand controls and a steering ball, and they come with either a semi or automatic gearbox to accommodate people of all disabilities and impairments."
"We hope to raise as much money as possible and help support Guide Dogs with their work breeding and training guide dogs for people who are visually impaired."
Guide Dogs is one of the UK's leading sight loss charities. Its expert staff, volunteers and life-changing guide dogs help people with sight loss live the life they choose.
The demonstration team, who will be at Prestwold Hall, will display the skills the guide dogs need to give people with sight loss the confidence to get out and about safely.
