Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground in Leicestershire has been one of our most popular driving experience venues for many years here on TrackDays. However, you may have heard the recent news that all experience days will unfortunately be ceasing at this venue from 1st August 2020.

But all is not lost for those who are still looking for a great driving experience or track day in the East Midlands, as we are delighted to announce today that we have a new venue opening up for experience day bookings that’s not far away from Bruntingthorpe.

Sywell Aerodrome is situated in the heart of Northamptonshire, with good links to Northampton, Rugby, Kettering and Corby via the A43, A6 and A14 roads, and is one of the UK’s best General Aviation Airfields. Now it is also set to host turbo charged machines of a different kind.

It’s 1 ½ mile long track will offer the opportunity to book some incredible driving experiences in supercars, classic cars and muscle cars that will prove a challenge to even the most seasoned driver, with a number of tight corners and a wide open straight to navigate, offering top speeds of up to 100 mph.

The great thing about using airfields for fast driving is the fact there are no barriers or dangerous run off areas, which would usually make an amateur driver nervous. Airfield tracks are far less daunting to drive fast on, making it a much more enjoyable experience for those who may be nervous about getting behind the wheel of a fast (and very expensive) car.

Also on site are some great facilities, including a gorgeous Art Deco styled hotel, a cafe and an indoor briefing room. It all adds up to a fantastic driving day out that you’ll remember for years to come.
