As a recent parliamentary report reveals soaring car insurance quotes in the UK, young drivers facing high premiums for performance cars have an exciting alternative: the chance to drive these vehicles on a race circuit.

The House of Commons Library report, entitled The Rising Cost of UK Car Insurance, shows that insurance quotes have skyrocketed by 82% since May 2021*. Factors contributing to this increase include the availability of spare parts, energy prices, and the rising costs associated with repairing more sophisticated vehicles.
Young drivers are particularly affected by these escalating insurance costs. However, the report notes that increased insurer profits are not driving these price hikes.
