Aston Martin's V8 Vantage has claimed the crown as the nation's most popular track day supercar in 2023.
That's according to newly-released data from us at TrackDays HQ, which reveals that the car the British public selected the most when booking a track day with us this year, was Aston Martin's V8 Vantage.
The V8 Vantage, with a top speed of 180 mph and 0 - 62 mph in 4.9 seconds, claimed the top spot in the year of the British manufacturer's 110th anniversary.
Analysing more than 30,000 bookings from the past 12 months, our operations manager, Dan Jones, says: "The V8 Vantage is always in the mix for our most popular supercar crown, but it is often just beaten to the top of the podium by the Lamborghini Gallardo or Audi R8."
"2023 has been a year in which the Aston Martin brand has made a lot of noise – it revealed the first car of Lawrence Stroll's new era at the helm, the DB12. As well as unexpectedly ruffling a few feathers out on the F1 track."
"It's great to see its success has resonated with the general public's interest in driving one of its supercars too."
Meanwhile, the Audi R8 came second in the list, proving that despite Audi's decision to retire the car from further production, it's still popular among adrenaline-seeking drivers. Lamborghini's Gallardo, 2022's most popular car, came in third to take the final podium spot.
Jones concludes: "About halfway through the year, the Gallardo was looking set to win for the second year on the bounce. It's incredible to see how well both Aston Martin and Audi did in reeling the Lamborghini back in."
