One of the most famous buildings not just in London but in the world, Buckingham Palace has been the official residence of countless Monarchs over the years - and is one of the only few left in the world that is still a working palace. The immaculately maintained State Rooms at the palace are where the Royal Family host their official engagements and welcome any Heads of State when they arrive in the country. And during the summer, the public have a chance to see them for themselves with exclusive entry to the Palace - which as you can imagine, are hotly in demand! It’s for that reason that, even with your advance tickets, you’ll have a bit of a wait to get in as the extremely tight security measures are coordinated. But we can assure you that, upon entry to the Palace, it will be every bit worth the wait, as you explore its 19 State Rooms, including the White Drawing Room, the opulence of the Music Room which has seen numerous Kings, Queens, Heads of State and the Church, the grandeur of the Throne Rooms, where the plush velvet clad throne chairs that Prince William and Princess Kate were pictured on after their Royal Wedding in 2011. There are also audio guides available for visitors, which offer insights into each of the rooms in turn, as well as pointing out priceless artefacts from The Royal Collection. Once you’re all done at the Palace, you’ll then take a short stroll along The Mall to the Royal Horseguards Hotel. Situated along Embankment, you’ll both get to settle in for a delicious afternoon tea to finish off this most regal of days out in London in style!

Entry to the state rooms is only at 1:15pm
Royal Horseguards Hotel bookings are not available on Bank Holidays
Afternoon tea is served at either 3:00pm or 4:00pm (entry time of 1.30pm to the Palace)
Two-course meal is served: Lunch - Saturday and Sunday 12.30 – 3.30pm (time for placing last orders) no dinner on Saturday and Sunday. Monday – Friday 12.00pm - 3:30pm (time for placing last orders) Dinner 5.30 – 9.30pm (time for placing last orders)
