The perfect opportunity to get away from it all for a couple of nights awaits, deep in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. On their farmstead in Catfield, Amanda and Barry will welcome you warmly for your stay in one of three converted shepherds huts. Situated in lush, wildflower laden meadows, these cute and compact little huts have all the provisions supplied, including a double bed, a kitchenette area, a TV, plus an ensuite bathroom with a sink, shower and toilet, with intricate wood clad interiors and double glazed windows. Explore your surroundings and discover the fire pit and BBQ included with your hut. It's the perfect place on a warm summer's evening to sit out with a glass of wine as the sun goes down, toasting marshmallows as the sounds of nature roost around you. Utter bliss. And as this is a kid free glamping site, you can be assured of a calming, peaceful stay to restore and revive you. Your stay will also include a chance to visit the animals with Amanda, who is super knowledgeable about all of the farm's menagerie of rescued animals, and you'll get to meet either the pigs or the donkeys, and help with their feeding and daily grooming routine. There's also plenty to explore in the surrounding area, with a local pub a 10 minute walk away from the farm, offering locally brewed drinks and tasty home cooked dishes, as well as cycling, hiking, boating on the Broads and more besides.

Animal Encounter

  • Welcome, introduction and safety briefing
  • Spend one hour with either the pigs or donkeys during this hands on experience
  • Feed and walk your chosen animal
  • Learn about their daily routine and spend time grooming them
  • Photos will be taken during the encounter and sent to you via WhatsApp (optional)

Accommodation

  • Shepherds Huts: Overlooking the donkey meadow
  • Your accommodation includes a gas BBQ, outdoor seating, fire pit (please bring your own fire wood), double bed, TV, kitchen (facilities include kettle, microwave, toaster and fridge-freezer), dining area, heater and private en suite bathroom
