Spit spot, and close your mouth please - we are not a codfish. As you’re about to head off on a walking tour of London that’s practically perfect in every way, exploring the many locations used in the classic Disney adaptation of PL Travers’ much loved tales of Mary Poppins. Over the course of your two hour walking tour, you’ll visit the filming locations that were used both in the original 1964 film set on Cherry Tree Lane and set around the adventures of Mary, Jane and Michael Banks and Bert the chimney sweep, and then in Mary Poppins Returns in 2018, which was set 25 years after the original film in 1930s London. All the key locations from their many whimsical adventures are landmarks along the way, including the steps at St Paul’s Cathedral, the Bank where the grown up Michael tries to save his house from repossession. And of course, you’ll hear plenty of anecdotes and fascinating stories from inside the filming from your tour guide along the way, all adding up to a walking tour that’s Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
