Put your technical skills to the test as you enjoy this 40 minute flying lesson in a Cessna 152. Whether you’ve clocked up the hours in the skies before, or are a complete beginner, these flying lessons can be tailored to suit all experience levels as you are accompanied by an expert pilot. Not only will you learn the technical skills for flying the plane, but prior to this you will be given the lowdown on the pre flight checks and radio clearance from the pilot, as you develop insider knowledge into how these aircrafts work. Once ready, your pilot will take care off take off and you’ll soon be soaring over the skies of Gloucestershire and the rolling hills all around. Because these pilots are passionate about getting people flying and feeling confident in the skies, they will encourage you to take the controls for as much as possible to make the most of your flying lesson. This ex RAF training centre ensures you are in the best hands for learning as they are well equipped to help you train towards your Private Pilot Licence or simply develop your love of flying. I very much enjoyed the experience and strongly recommend it. My instructor was Dave at Staverton. He explained the aircraft controls and instruments in a clear way prior to departure and then gave me control of the aircraft from almost immediately after take off through to start of approach. Great experience go try it.

The flying experience itself was amazing Alex the instructor at Staverton Airport was great, his whole demeanor put me at ease and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. He also took the controls a couple of times to allow me to take pictures and video.Into The Blue are a great company with excellent communications. Due to the pandemic they pushed back the end date on my experience three times so that I wouldnt miss out. I cant praise them enough.

Absolutely amazing experience. I had the 30 minute trial flight package. Apart from the take off I was flying.. over Gloucester, then Stroud, my home, local places from a new standpoint.Popped up through the clouds into the blue sky and sunshine and back in over Cheltenham to make my first landingAll in 30 minutes Or so.Fantastic pilot, put me fully at ease. Explained the basics really well and encouraged me to fly as much as I wanted.The smile lasted for ages.

Had a lot of trouble attempting to book, but once we got there the instructor was very friendly and clear, and I got almost all the flying time. Would definitely recommend
