If you're on the Isle of Wight, don't miss the exhilarating experience of a helicopter ride! Whether you're a local or a visitor, nothing compares to the thrill of seeing the island from the air. Departing from the picturesque Sandown Airport, these helicopter tours offer a unique perspective of the Isle of Wight. Operating in and out of the charming Isle of Wight Sandown Airport, you'll be perfectly situated for a breathtaking helicopter tour of the island. The airport itself is a popular tourist attraction, offering a variety of events, abundant flying opportunities, and a delightful on-site Bistro. Once airborne, you'll be treated to a continuous array of stunning sights. Despite its relatively small size (13 miles from Cowes to St Catherines and 23 miles from east to west), the 30-minute helicopter tours cover a lot of ground. The extended Isle of Wight tour spans 30 minutes and covers approximately 55 miles, offering views of everything from the towns of Sandown and Shanklin to the ports, harbours, waterfalls, gardens, and vineyards. Highlights of the longer tour include the Cow and the Calf lighthouses at St Catherine's point, as well as the magnificent Osborne House. This opulent Italianate villa was the beloved summer home of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. As Queen Victoria herself once said, it's 'impossible to imagine a prettier spot'.
