Great flight really enjoyed it I will probably be doing it again next year. The pilot was excellent he explained everything and answered all our questions. I asked if he could take us to get photos of Blackpool illuminations and he did, it was fantastic.
Absolutely brilliant day. I couldn’t believe how hands on I would actually be for this first flight. I have done a lot of flight dimming at home on the PC and was really looking to see how close to reality it was.
I taxied to the runway, did the take off. Set the cruise and did some level changes and even prepped for landing (I think the instructor did most of the landing though).
The folks over at the flight school even organised a flight plan that took me over my house! I can see why folk get hooked on flying. I would so do this again and heartily recommend this to anyone interested in flying and especially those who have done flight swimming at home. Absolutely Fantastic!
There were two people who did a one hour flying lesson at Blackpool airport mid August 2022 (one passenger, one trainee pilot) with ANT flight training, instructor Ray.
Excellent first lesson, Ray was a very experienced instructor, we felt completely safe and in good hands.
Ray explained many of the aspects of flying along with a practical demonstration. His enthusiasm and passion for flying shone through and made it a thoroughly enjoyable experience for both of us.
The weather conditions were sunny and clear with a moderate breeze and we enjoyed superb views of the coastline up to Liverpool docks.

James and Russel run a family business, which is honest, caring, and decent. I had a great flight, very relaxed, and a good cup of coffee and chat afterward. I have had more corporate branded experiences in the past which have been about the hard sell with photos etc, this had substance and a good hour in the plane.

The instructor was friendly and gave me control for pretty much the entire flight which was just an incredible experience. We had a fantastic time and got to see some beautiful sights too.

Hi just a short review, this was a present for my brothers 50th, birthday. Due to the fact that we were at the back end of the lock down and the advisors were working from home, [spoke to 3 of them], they handled and organised this event for me perfectly. My brother really enjoyed his flying lesson, and the whole experience was great. I,ll use Into The Blue again in the future and recomend to friends.

As soon as I arrived I was greeted and made to feel very welcome. I upgraded my flight experience to a 4 seat so I could take my brother and sister along for the ride while I did the easy part of flying ;) The staff sorted out the admin side of things efficiently and without any fuss.
My intructor I could not fault in any way. He was calm, patient, friendly and very knowledgeable, not just about the flying part but also the general area, pointing out landmarks etc.
My instuctor gave me the controls literally from when the engine started to when we shut it down again at the end. I was suprised at first that I was allowed to do all the taxiing and the takeoff and landing, with my instructor just there in case i needed help. The hour flight went by way too fast, but was a very memorable hour, that I'm pleased to say I spent with my brother and sister. All in all an amazing experience and amazing flight school. I cannot recommend highly enough. I will deffinately be returning in the future. Thank you all for a great time. John E

Superb experience. Was completely surprised how much of the flight was under my control, including much of the taxi duties! This is a full trial lesson that would actually count as airtime toward a licence. Will never forget taking off and flying over Blackpool's golden sands. The folks at ANT are great!
I love the flying lesson! Hands on from take off! ....excellent, friendly, professional pilot. Beautiful clear blue skies, we flew up the coast past Morecambe Bay to Lake Windermere and then turned back past Lancaster over, flying lower over our house in Garstang... and then out over the sea turning once more back to Blackpool. What a fabulous experience!
This was by far my beat ever experience. I taxied on and off the runway and actually flew the plane for almost an hour. Far better than I could have ever imagined. The pilot was so helpful and the ground staff were so happy. Beat experience xx
Excellent time had at a very friendly place.
The experience was brilliant, alot more hands on than I expected and the pilot was great, really felt at ease and he explained everything without being patronising.
Only issue was a mix up with dates. We booked a date (27th) but it was noted wrong (11th) and even though we'd apparently missed the date no one contacted us until I phoned to check everything was ok a week before flying. Without this there would have been no experience as we had to re-arrange to a separate date. No real apology was given.

Absolutely loved every minute of the experience. I was lucky to have a pilot called Michael who was exceptionally accommodating, we were allowed to take some pictures with family at and in the plane. Michael was a very good instructor, explaining everything to me very clearly. It was also a pleasant surprise to receive a certificate after the trial lesson was completed.

This was a fantastic experience that I will never forget. I was put into the pilots seat and shown all the controls. Next, I was told to taxi to the edge of the runway. We waited for another plane to land, then the instructor made the take-off. Once we had made the required height, I took control again and followed the flight plan. I know the area well and enjoyed seeing it from the plane. As expected, the instructor made the approach and landing. The instructor and admin were excellent. I hope to do it again soon.

Im not too keen on heights, and I was very apprehensive as this was a present . I must say I was made to feel at ease and given plenty of control of the aircraft. There was lots of information given by the pilot and all questions answered. I got some awesome views and the experience was a lot better than I expected. I Might even take up flying :-)
First class service all the way. Booked a one hour flight in a two seater Cessna for my husbands 50th birthday. From speaking on the phone to 'into the blue' and then arranging the flight day with the Blackpool company A.T.N ltd everything was seamless. My husband's pilot instructor was Mike and he was very hands off when possible so that my husband had the best ever actual flying experience and not just as a passenger. This involved taking off, turning and directing the plane and lining up for landing. After a lifetime of dreaming what it would be like to actually fly a plane my husband has now fulfilled that particular wish. Thank you too, to the great ground crew team who let us take photo's and see into the plane that was being flown. Great team, fab day and memories that will last a lifetime. Thumbs up , smoke me a kipper i'll be back for breakfast!

Great experience for anyone interested in the technicalities of flying an aircraft.
Our experience was taken at Blackpool airport where the family run team at air navgation trafing company warmly welcomed us.
My partner and sister (who bought me the experience) came along, and they were invited to join the flight, which was not at all expected. After some deliberation and encouragement, they decided to share the experience....this was a big deal for my 72 yr old sister! I extended the experience to a full hour to get as much enjoyment out of it as possible, it turned out to be worthwhile as the time flew by.
The instructor Mike was very calming and patient, explaining exactly what to do. I actually piloted the whole flight.. Including take off and landing <gulp>! Both my passengers thoroughly enjoyed the experience..... although they were eerily quiet during landing!
We all had a fantastic experience, my sister enjoyed her once in a lifetime experience and both her and I were both glad that she bit the bullet of adventure.
I shall be returning to Blackpool airport again to repeat the experience to learn even more about flying an aircraft.
I thoroughly recommend this experience, dont forget to involve adventurous family or friends, who will enjoy it too.
What a BRILLIANT experience, loved every minute. My kids had booked me on the 4 x seater so my 6 year old granddaughter & partner joined us for the Flying lesson. All the staff were excellent, especially Michael (our instructor) who explained everything fully & clearly so that we all enjoyed the flight from taxiing on the runway - through to landing. This should be a MUST DO on everyones 'To Do List' as the whole session was amazing from start to finish. Thanks again to all the Staff. We had a brilliant time. Garry J.
Far more than I expected and well happy. Staff were very welcoming and informative. I was allowed to taxi to the end of the runway where we turned into the wind and the engine test was completed and then we took off. As I only live at the other side of the airport we flew over and the out to sea. I was allowed to control the aircraft inland along the coast to Cleveleys and then back out to sea returning along the coast and back to Blackpool airport where the instructor Michael landed the aircraft and then I taxied back to the base.
All in it was a wonderful experience and highly recommended.
I bought this for my husband for christmas and wow he loved it, very friendly and professional instructors and people at the centre, I would definitely recommend to others, my son now wants a flying lesson for christmas

The whole experience was great, the welcome was good with James who I contacted prior to arrival. Michael, the Instructor was friendly and most helpful in making the experience informative and memorable. Little did I know that I would take charge from the hard standing to the runway. Michael did the checks and took off, handed over to me and I flew up the coast, turned back to base, landed and taxied back to the hard standing. Truly memorable and a great experience.

AWESOME. Air Navigation and Trading co. Blackpool are brilliant. From the minute I walked in I was made to feel welcome. Any fears I had about having a flying lesson quickly disappeared. Michael my instructor was so good. He made me feel confident and was an excellent tutor. I took the controls knowing he was there if I got in trouble and his clear instructions made for a great experience. I flew over to the Lake District and back doing a circle of Blackpool Tower on my return. My husband was allowed to go in the back seat. My advise to anyone would be, do it!!! It was the best experience ever and left me feeling that I had achieved something amazing. Thank you to Michael and the receptionist at A.N.T. You are wonderful

This experience of a 'Flying Lesson along the immediate Fylde coast and Blackpool Tower' has been nine months in the making.
My son and family purchased the event as a birthday/ Christmas gift December 16,whilst I was indeed very pleased with the idea of it I couldn't help a nervous feeling surfacing from time to time which said ' do I really want this at my later age (77)'. In the event the answer was a resounding, yes.
My retirement 'job' DavidWalshawArt, has been extremely busy through Spring and Summer which gave me the opportunity to push back on the 'event', however Autumn beckoned and a date was set, 24 September.
Four days previous the sun was shining strongly and i realised how much I was looking forward to the date, strangely not a stressed fibre in the body, even though the forecast was not good. Come the day the threatened bad weather had been delayed and on our arrival at Blackpool Airport ( Air Navigation and Trading Company) the clouds were quite high.
The staff at AirNav were immediately welcoming, friendly and disarmingly personal, in a way that any nerves would straightaway dissipate. My instructor Russell introduced himself to me and all attendant family and then presented me with a set of headphones and attached mike. Five minutes later I was following him onto the tarmac making a beeline for a very attractive, substantial looking, single engine'Cessna'. Straight past it we walked to a less substantial looking, smaller single engine 'Cessna'. Many many photos later by family, and I climbed aboard with Russell into the very cosy twin seats.
Detailed, interesting, info on security,preflight checks and the simplistic principal of controls were explained and we then taxied to a runway and a three plane queue. Our turn and up we went to a1000 then 1500 feet. What was absolutely amazing was the fact with my hands also on the controls there were long periods when I was actually flying this plane,reasonably following instructions, nose up,nose down a bit, drop wing, level up. Russell's easy commentary, between instruction, on what we were looking at and the discreet way he took back control, made for an absolutely great experience.
Once round the Tower and we were homing in on the runway, down we went, taxied to the hanger. Job done. Just brilliant experience.

Staff very helpful; I had to change my date due to ill health, that was no problem. Strong winds and storms led us to rearrange date again but clearly not their fault.
The location is very good, with a great view; if that is you can look around, personally I was concentrating very hard as I was actually flying the plane, never having done this before. Once at cruising height, The views over towards the lakes are wonderful. You can get a drink in the small bar at the school or a meal in a pub (chain ) right by the airport. Finding the airport is easy, signed from off the end of the M55.
If you are in anyway interested in flying then go!
Great experience. The instructor Thomas was friendly but professional. He let me take control right away and recognised quickly my level of competence which meant I was flying the plane for good amount of time. Definitely no 1 on my gift list for the future....

Fantastic experience Michael my instructor was amazing, I flew the plane most of the time except a bit of takeoff and landing. Michael took over the controls to do a loop de loop and some barrels rolls ! Cannot recommend highly enough.

The only reason I've only given the experience four stars is that the weather was a bit gusty and some of the time we were skimming the bottom of the clouds, but I can't blame ANT for the weather! The instructor was very friendly and helpful and professional, so I'd give him five stars.
A landmark day. This wasn’t a romp around the sky for an hour, with a bit of stick waggling thrown in; this was the real thing. Right from the moment the aircraft moved off you were immersed in its control and for the first half hour it was hard work. By the time we were turning to return I was starting to get the feel of the ‘plane and once back on the ground all I wanted to do is go again: and I will.
Don’t think that you’re up for a sightseeing trip around Morecombe Bay, this is the real deal: you’re flying an aeroplane.

Ive never had a flying lesson before today and im not very good with hights but its summit ive always wanted to do i got micheal as my instructor he was very reassuring and put me at ease striaght away he was very clear on his instructions and was there with me all the way dont think i would of done as well as i did if i had anyone else 5* will deffo be going back one day

A brilliant experience which I enjoyed from start to finish, I think I have told everyone I have met since then about how good it was and can't wait to go again. Loved this. Instructor was so good and it definitely was worth the money as my boyfriend loved it. All staff were friendly too which definitely helped calm nerves.
We've had a great day, the people at ANT were very helpful (we booked at short notice as the weather was good) and nothing was a problem to them. I was completely lost for words on landing it was a great experience, the ground staff and the instructor were all fantastic. We felt welcomed from the minute we arrived by a friendly team wanting to ensure I had the best flight possible. Taking to the controls and having such amazing access to the aircraft was more than I was expecting well worth it, something I must do again.
I had a 1 hour flying lesson from Blackpool by Air Navigation. From arrival at their office the experience was great. The greeting we received was very very friendly. Due to a slight delay we were given complimentary hot drinks in their comfortable lounge. Off I went in a Cessna 150 aerobatic. The sky was amazingly clear, and up we went towards the Lake District which was suffering from a few snow showers. The instructor was very clear and precise in explaining all the controls and dials and it was a hands on experience from the start. I would fully recommend this to anyone who has had any sort of desire to pilot a plane or just someone looking for,a slightly different adventure.
Unfortunately , because of the weather , no sooner had we got off the ground than we had to land . So two flights for the price of one .yeay!

My flying lesson was superb- could not have been better. I drove nearly 300 miles each way and stayed overnight as Squires Gate airport was the only one I could find that used aircraft big enough for me- I'm 6'5", and it was worth every minute and mile. Mike the instructor was excellent, very clear and inspired confidence. I had not flown a plane since 1965 (gliders with the school cadets), but he allowed me to both take off and land the (lovely) aircraft. What a day! Thanks to all.

Had a fantastic time flying around the Blackpool area today in lovely conditions. The pilot was really friendly and explained everything about the aircraft to me clearly and answered any questions I had. I was expecting to be able to control the aircraft only whilst airborne and for just a few minutes, however, I was in control for almost the entire flight, including taxing to the runway, with the pilot assisting with the take off and carrying out the landing. I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested or who is fancying an amazing aerial view of Blackpool.
Was bought this experience as a present and had a brilliant time. Very helpful and simple process from the start and easily arranged withe the local flight school. Flying instructor Russell was very engaging and after a brief but informative but of instruction we were into the air and I was in control. I was allowed to choose the route which made the whole experience more enjoyable. The flight was smooth and exhilarating allowing me to have a brilliant time.
It was an incredible experience we had a fantastic day. All the staff made the day very enjoyable and we would definitely recommend this to our friends. We definitely go back and do more courses. I was allowed to take off with the aircraft, fly around the designated route for the full 30 minutes.and even land the plane at the end of session.
A totally memorable experience which I will certainly experience again.
Well i had a fantastic and enjoyable experience it was even better than when i was in the air cadets 40 odd years a ago flying in de haver land chipmunks and gliders i do want to try for a pilots licence now if i can raise the money would recommend it to all even the wife enjoyed herself.

Fantastic I had a 30 minute flying lesson and never had I found anything easier to book in my life. I claimed to voucher online then telephoned the airport got my day and time which was so flexible. I turned up today greeted with a smile introduced to my instructor and away I went I would have no hesitation in recommending intotheblue to anyone.
Fantastic experience! As others have said, you get much more time on the controls than you would imagine, and the experience was just amazing. Great pilot, and everyone was very friendly. My wife was waiting for me in the lounge and they provided her with fresh coffee. Would definitely recommend.

I changed my original voucher for a flying lesson which was pretty straightforward. The instructions on arranging the lesson were clear and every time I called the flying company I was answered quickly and they were very helpful. Also on the day everyone was friendly and the experience was great. Russell, my instructor, was informative and allowed me as much time as I wanted basically at the controls.
All in all it a fantastic experience with no obstacles at all and to be highly recommended!

Very good and most enjoyable. The instructor was professional and knowledgeable and allowed me to fly the aircraft most of the time we were airborne. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
Kids got me a flying lesson for Father's Day, it was the best experience and the pilot was great leaving me in control of the plane is excellent, kids was able to sit in the back and experience it to. Think I found a new hobbie ;)
Finally managed to get round to booking this birthday present. From Start to finish, it was a brilliant experience. I had done a similar experience at another flying school, which was good, but then I did it here and this was outstanding. They welcome you like a family member and the tuition is amazing. I will definitely be using them again! Thanks guys
The whole experience was enjoyable, enlightening, and memorable. The friendly approach was balanced by professionalism and a genuine willingness to give value for money. An experience I would recommend to anyone from those wishing just to experience flying a plane, to those wishing to proceed onwards to a PPL.
Just a great experience from start to finish! The crew were just so friendly and made me feel totally relaxed about the whole thing. The pilot, Chris, inspired total confidence and allowed me to be very 'hands-on' with the flying, much more so than I had expected! They even helped take photos of myself and my family after the flight! On balance, 11/10 for this great little company, TOTALLY recommended!
Arrived with family members at office we were all made very welcome. Offered refreshments while waiting for the instructor.Allowed us to take photos before and after also to sit in plane with nephew to let him experiance the pilots seat. Great experiance highly recomend to anybody

Made to feel welcome the moment we stepped in the door and it stayed that way until we left. The hours flight was just that a full hour and not part of an hour with some time on the ground. So good that I
intend to book the initial 5 hour package they provide and then see how it goes from there. Excellent experience.

Arrived to a warm welcome from James on the front desk. Fantastic weather. Great pilot Chris. Really relaxed and yet professional atmosphere. Got the captain's seat for the flight. Rotated the aircraft at take off with Chris following on the controls. Chris then took over for the initial departure and then after a further review of the controls I had the aircraft for the next 40 minutes or so including approach and landing (again covered by Chris as it was gusty). Fantastic. Got loads more flying time than I thought I would and Chris was great answering questions and demonstrating things. Believe the reviews. It's THAT good! Even my girlfriend who isn't a big fan of flying loved being a passenger.
This was a really enjoyable experience. The team were excellent.
What an absolutely fantastic experience. The instructor was really polite and approachable. I was allowed to take off and then fly for the majority of the lesson and then land the plane with a bit of assistance. This experience has given me the determination to go for my full license (even if it does take a long time.) I will go back to this place though and request the same instructor because he was fantastic. Thank you :)

Bought a flying day as an auction prize for a ball I had organised for Cancer Research. Everything you need to know is in the pack and very informative. Unbeknown to me, my hubby was bidding on it and won! He went to Blackpool to take his trial flying lesson and he loved it. Everyone was friendly, helpful and helped him really enjoy the experience.

We arrived early for the experience but were treated well. The instructor was friendly but professional in his manner. The flight went very smoothly , it was a great hands on experience.

Really pleased with flight, hands on flying for 90% of flight, informative instructor, friendly family firm. Bit bumpy aloft but made it more exciting.

He was fantastic in explaining everything and also trying to make me feel getter when I felt flight sick.

What an amazing experience with the added joy of beautiful weather! We had the opportunity to fly up to my favourite place, the Lake District, and appreciate its magnificence from above. My instructor, Ray, was great with his explanations and allowed me to take the controls from the start, apart from special manoeuvres. It was a wonderful birthday gift. Thank you.

Absolutely brilliant experience from start to finish. The instructor was superb. I got to fly over my house, around Blackpool Tower and other places of interest to me. Even better than I thought it would be. This will be the first of many lessons.
