Our spacious four-seater aircraft allows you to bring a guest who can observe the flight from the rear passenger seat. During the flight, a friend or family member may join you in the cabin at the pilot's discretion and with the possibility of a local fee. Experienced flying instructors will handle the more challenging aspects of the flight, leaving you to take control once in the air. They will provide guidance and instruction to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
For aviation enthusiasts, these trial flights can count towards a Private Pilot License (PPL) in your training pilot's logbook.

What's Included
- A trial flight in a four-seater aircraft at your choice of location
- 30 minute flight
- Experiences include a welcome and pre-flight briefing
- Once airborne you will get the chance to take control yourself
- Flight times are 'chock to chock', ie. from when the plane starts to taxi, to when it switches off at the end of the lesson
- Some schools will also include a personalised certificate
Suitable For
- The minimum age is 14 years old
- Under 18s must be accompanied on the airfield by an adult
- Height restrictions: minimum 4ft 6ins, maximum 6ft 4ins
- Maximum weight is generally 16 stone (some venues may allow higher weight limits; please call to discuss individual requirements)
- Please bring two forms of identity, including a photo id, e.g. a passport
- Flight lessons are all at Civil Aviation Authority-approved clubs
Availability
- Flying classes are usually available on weekdays and weekends throughout the year, subject to favourable weather conditions
- Although time slots are allocated, please be aware that aircraft lessons are subject to a number of factors which may potentially cause a delay to your scheduled time
- Whilst every effort will be made to help keep you on time, we ask for a degree of latitude owing to the nature of flying, air traffic delays and weather considerations

- Visitors are welcome to come and watch the take off and landing
- It may be possible for a friend or family member, who is also interested in flying classes, to sit in the back of the plane and listen in on headphones (min age 14)
- This is at the discretion of the instructor on the day and subject to weight restrictions - Some flying schools will charge a fee (payable locally) for this.
- Hampshire, Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire venues do not permit spectators to board the aircraft and observe
