Overview
Discover the art of homemade cheesemaking on these fun three-hour courses in Essex, hosted by Ann Hood’s Smart School. Alongside crafting a selection of delicious cheeses, you will also make artisan bread and tasty accompaniments to enjoy during the session. These hands-on classes prove you don’t need specialist equipment or years of experience to create fresh cheeses at home. Working in a professional kitchen, you’ll learn the key stages of soft cheese production, from selecting quality milk to mastering temperatures and textures. Depending on the session, you could make creamy Mozzarella, versatile Ricotta or traditional Indian Paneer, along with flavoured soft cheeses blended with herbs, chilli and other ingredients. You may even create delicious goat’s cheese varieties too. You will also discover how leftover whey can be used in artisan bread making and prepare a homemade chutney to perfectly complement your cheeses. Relaxed, sociable and full of flavour, these cheesemaking courses are ideal for anyone looking to learn new kitchen skills while enjoying plenty of delicious nibbles along the way.

Excellent interactive experience, with really interesting explanations of the processes and ingredients.

It was OK. Description of experience wasnt really accurate but that probably more to do with the folk providing it than Intotheblue. Organisation was ok.
