Enjoy a 30 Minute Flying lesson in a 2 seater Cessna 152 setting off from the historic Blackbushe Airfield. Before stepping onto the plane, you will receive a warm welcome from the flying school and will listen to a pre flight briefing before stepping on board and learning the basics of flying. You’re in safe hands and don’t need to worry, as there has been a flying school on this site since 1985 after the airfield was transformed from RAF Hartfordbridge used in World War Two to RAF Blackbushe as we know it today. Our instructors love what they do and are eager to turn you into independent pilots as you become more confident in the skies. Each session is expertly tailored to the individual and in the post flight glow you’ll receive a certificate and have the opportunity to enjoy refreshments on sight at The Bushe Cafe. These on site facilities can also be enjoyed by any accompanying spectators who want to watch you in the air as they provide great views of the runway. Come to an airfield rich in history and expertise as you take to the skies over Surrey and beyond. This is the ideal experience for those seeking hands on flying lessons in the wider Surrey and Hampshire area.

  • Trial flying lesson in a 2 seater Cessna 152 or 4 seater Piper PA28 aircraft
  • All experiences include a welcome and pre-flight briefing
  • Once airborne you will get the chance to take control yourself
  • All flight times are quoted 'chock to chock'
  • All participants will receive a certificate

  • Minimum age 14
  • Under 18s must be accompanied on the airfield by an adult
  • Maximum height: 2 seater - 6ft 2ins / 4 seater 6ft 4ins
  • Maximum weight: 2 seater - 14 stone / 4 seater 16 stone
  • Customers may be asked to show a photographic form of ID on the day

  • Spectators are very welcome at this flying school
  • The Bushe Cafe on the airfield offers great views of the runway allowing you to see participants depart and land

Really enjoyed my flight.The instructor was very good if it wasnt the fact they cancelled twice and didnt start my flight until 1145 though it was supposed to be at 1030am I would have given 5 stars.
