Yes, it’s true that Supercars, Classic Cars and Racing Cars are amongst our most popular experiences when it comes to the challenge of the circuit track. But at Trackdays, we’re also fond of getting a bit dirty, and are equally all about those sets of wheels you can enjoy off-grid too.

Our 4x4 off road driving days are thus the perfect choice for such a need. So forget the racetrack, it’s time to take things to the next level on some of the most challenging terrain you’ll ever drive on. Head into the countryside and really explore the great outdoors, as you prepare to take on mud, water and a variety of landscapes on these fantastic off road excursions.

You can get behind the wheel of some of the most capable vehicles on the roads today including the renowned Land Rover Defender, Land Rover Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Discovery as well as the luxurious Mercedes-Benz GLE.

In all our off-road challenges, you will be tasked with negotiating steep and slippery inclines and declines, deep ruts, mud holes, gullies and water crossings. Safety is of paramount importance during your experience so no matter your experience behind the wheel you will be in safe hands.

Whether you’re an off road novice or a rally driving expert you will receive expert tuition throughout the experience so you will get all the tips and tricks during your time in the car.

In our Mad Max Truck Driving Blast, you will speed across varying terrains in our extreme Land Rover Defender styled on the truck from the famous action movie of the same name on a specially prepared course at our Abingdon venue in Oxfordshire.

The course was specially designed to train the military in becoming skilled, advanced off road drivers when duty calls. You will have to have nerves of steel to tackle the steep hills, rough ground and water crossings during the experience.

Those who fancy trying out an ACV - an air cushioned vehicle - that can go across both wet and dry terrains will want to discover our selection of Hovercraft Experiences that are hosted at venues in Leicestershire and Warwickshire, with both 1:1 and group sessions available.

All this, plus 4x4 Army Truck driving at Bicester Heritage Centre, an Off Road Challenge combined with a Rally Driving Experience at Silverstone Rally School and a One to One 4x4 Driving package at Blacklands Farm near East Grinstead in Sussex means we’re confident there’s an Off Road driving day to suit everyone and all ages.

If you are buying an open gift voucher for a package, please check as some special offer vouchers and normal packages may have a shorter or longer validity to be used and activated within, which will be clearly stated on the gift voucher.

If you wish to book directly onto a date for a driving package, you need to be aware that you are making a booking request only, and the date and time that you choose will be subject to availability upon us receiving the order.

We usually confirm bookings within 48 hours but it’s important that you do not make any arrangements in conjunction with your booking request until you have a final confirmation email. The immediate receipt you get when making a booking request is not the confirmation.

Other important things to consider when purchasing 4x4 Off Road Track Days is that the driver meets all of the requirements in terms of age, weight, height and driving licence. Each experience will have its own unique requirements so make sure you have read the important information thoroughly.

If an experience is for junior drivers only, we will usually mention this in the name of the package but not in all cases. If a driver turns out to not meet the requirements on the day it's likely they will not get to drive and may have to settle for a passenger ride instead.
