What To Expect With A Young Driver Training Experience
Trackdays brings to you our range of Young Driver Training experiences that have been specially designed to target juniors aged between 10-17 and give them a head start in learning the basic driving skills for the road. Young driver training differs from our junior supercar driving experiences as it isn't so much of a blast in a supercar but an actual insight into what skills are required to drive a vehicle. There has been extensible research that shows the real cause why 1 in 5 recently qualified drivers are likely to crash within their first 6 months is down to experience. The best way to prevent such a statistic is to give kids a chance to learn the skills required from an early age, this is where the young driver training comes into play.
Courses come in various forms such as 30 minutes, 60 minutes and 90 minutes on which under 17s will learn skills such as manoeuvring, braking, accelerating, and changing of gears plus many other necessary skills for road driving. There is a range of cars that are used for the driving lessons for 11-17-year-olds which come in all shapes and sizes. We have a selection of small cars such as the Mini Cooper, Vauxhall Corsa and larger vehicles the likes of Ranger Rover Evokes, Jaguars and the Bentley Arnage. All cars are fitted with dual controls and alongside the juniors, there will be a fully qualified instructor. The under 17s Young Driver Training is available at multiple venues nationwide covering various part of the UK. Some locations being able to accommodate disabled youngsters thanks to specially modified vehicles with additional hand controls allowing for more freedom of movement.
