TrackDays is proud to bring you our range of Young Driver Training experiences that have been specially designed to target juniors aged between 10 - 17, and give them a head start in learning the basic driving skills for the road.
Young Driver Training differs from our Junior Supercar Driving Experience days, in so far as they are more centred on offering an actual insight into what skills are required to drive a vehicle.
There has been extensive research conducted that shows the main factor in 1 in 5 recently qualified drivers being likely to crash their vehicle within their first 6 months is down to experience. The best way to prevent such a statistic is to give kids a chance to learn the skills required from an early age, which is where Young Driver sessions bridge the gap perfectly.
The course is available in either a 30 minute or 60 session, where under 17s will learn skills such as manoeuvring, braking, accelerating, and changing of gears plus many other necessary skills for road driving, conducted on a carefully controlled course that’s designed to emulate real life road conditions as best as possible.
The cars used on these sessions are typically dual-controlled cars such as the Vauxhall Corsa, perfect for tutelage purposes, and under the guidance of an ARDS qualified instructor, the content on the sessions is both informative and delivered in a fun way, which should put both you and your child’s mind at ease.
But that’s not all; we have a number of other exciting Young Driver sessions available in a range of other vehicles, from the sophisticated class of the Bentley Flying Spur out on the track, to off-grid fun in a Mercedes X-Class 4x4 on our Off Road Junior Driving package, or climbing into the cabin of an automatic American Ford F650 Pick Up Truck on our Young American Truck Driving days.
Driving lessons for 10 - 17 year olds are a huge benefit for children and young drivers looking for some form of driving experience before they start their formal training with a provisional license at 18 under real-life conditions.
As we mentioned above, it is statistically proven that young drivers are more likely to have an incident within the first year of passing their test than someone who has been driving for a lot longer.
Young Driver Training experiences have been designed to help juniors build up their driving skills and instil confidence not only in a safe manner but also under simulated conditions that they can expect to find on the road. So it’s not only a great experience but also a sound investment in your child’s future driving career.
Our 30 and 60 minute Young Driver Training sessions are available at by far the biggest selection of locations across the UK we have for any of our experiences on TrackDays - nearly 70 in total to be exact!
Almost every region of the UK is covered and accounted for, and typically they’ll take place at venues that differ greatly from, say, our circuit tracks. That’s everything from Park and Ride facilities, to shopping centres, to racecourses, to football clubs.
Holding them at these venues, whether it’s Colchester United Football Stadium in Essex, the Trafford Centre in Manchester, Chepstow Racecourse in Wales or Clifton South Tram Park and Ride in Nottingham, means the route of the driving course can be more easily laid out so sessions can be conducted in a relaxed environment without distractions.
Whatever the special occasion may be for your son, daughter, niece, nephew or other young person in your life may be - their birthday, Christmas, passing their exams, summer holidays - at TrackDays our Young Driver packages make a fantastic gift idea, which can be purchased with our open gift vouchers. We have additional gift wrap options available at checkout as well to give it an extra special touch.
Alternatively, forthcoming available dates for any of our Young Driver packages you see listed above can also be booked onto directly from our Events Calendar. Can’t see a date to suit your needs? No sweat - you can contact our Customer Service team, and because they’re in regular contact with our suppliers at the venues, they can give you the most up to the minute availability.

TrackDays offers a broad selection of items, events and track days for motorsports experts and novices. We deal with leading experienced suppliers in the UK directly and their site and car line-up may be subject to change - so specifications on our site may vary.
Vehicles and Circuits
Trackdays.co.uk promotes a broad variety of facilities, cars and sites. If a service is not available due to failure, weather or construction operations, a replacement service is provided. It is important to remember that a change of place, day, vehicle and schedule is occasionally necessary. For about £20-£25 per driver, a damage waiver may be agreed. These waivers are usually completely voluntary, and they may be accepted on the day of the event.
Time Limits and Sessions
All event and session durations have an estimated length. You will be notified as soon as possible if an event must be rescheduled. Your ticket is non-refundable after your itinerary has been approved.
To ensure the health and safety of workers and drivers, most driving experiences have limitations in place. You must generally be between the heights of 4'11" and 6'6" and weigh less than 18 stone in order to qualify. Passengers must be 16 years old or older. To prevent mistakes, please double-check, since it varies based on the vehicle and degree of competence required. Any driver participating in a driving activity or a vehicle track day must always have their full driver's licence with them. An unrestricted motorcycle licence is required for all bike track days. To take part, you must have the appropriate licence. All cars are subjected to a static and/or drive-by noise test during a vehicle track day. Wherever feasible, we show the static noise constraints on our timetable. A vehicle that fails the drive-by or static noise testing on the day of the test will not be allowed to participate on the circuit and will not be reimbursed entry. For public track days, helmets are mandatory. You must wear two-piece zip-together or entire leather protection to compete in a race. Before you are permitted to ride on the track, any additional restrictions and limitations will be presented to you. If you are asked to leave the track due to misbehaviour, you will not be entitled to a refund. Participants must realise that the venues we represent are held to a very high standard of safety.
Weather Conditions
Your event may be influenced by poor weather conditions. Regrettably, it is not always feasible to reschedule before an event. Track days and driving experiences are sometimes cancelled and rescheduled due to poor weather. A refund will be given only if it is feasible.
Reservations
Our event calendar is updated as often as possible on our website. Please use the contact form if you can't locate the event or date you're searching for. We will do all we can to help you. It is advisable to secure your desired event, venue, and date as soon as possible during popular seasons such as weekends and summer months. Your reservation will be forfeited if you do not adhere to the terms and restrictions set out by the event host. After you've booked a reservation, you can't modify it.
Your booking confirmation should specify the date and time of your event (this does not include the automatic purchase email you receive that confirms what you have just ordered). Within 48 hours after completing the purchase, you should get a final confirmation. The venues will provide a suitable substitute on the day if any vehicles or equipment become unavailable due to mechanical breakdown.
Voucher Terms and Conditions
Gift Voucher holders may use the purchase price of a still-valid Gift Voucher to pay for any item on the site in part or in whole. Vouchers are only valid for one person unless otherwise stated. A top-up payment may be paid if necessary to increase the value of a voucher so that it may be used to book a more costly event. Keep in mind that the price of an activity might vary depending on the season. If the event's cost is less than the voucher's value, the remaining credit will be maintained until the voucher's expiry date. We recommend arranging your event as soon as possible since your experience must be completed before the expiry date shown on the front of your Voucher. All coupons are valid until the stated expiry date, after which they will automatically expire and will not be renewed.
Additional Terms & Conditions
Our gift packages are sent by Royal Mail 48®, which takes 3 to 5 working days, or by DPD. Go to the website's news section at the bottom of the page to view the final Christmas delivery dates.
If you get a new personalised loyalty discount code, it is only valid for the individual whose name appears on the voucher card and cannot be used to book an event for anyone else. This applies to extra drivers as well as passengers. The offer is good for any UK track day booked via our website, subject to availability. After the first track day appointment is scheduled, this voucher is non-refundable.
Some suppliers may charge an additional fee for damage waivers paid on the day. We make it clear to our customers that they are not obligated to buy anything in order to take part in the event. During the safety briefing, all of this will be explained. When renting performance vehicles, damage waivers are suggested since accident damage may be costly.
All Trackdays.co.uk pricing includes VAT unless otherwise stated. At any moment, we have the right to change the price of any product. We have the right to refuse a booking if we are unable to fulfil it due to a price mistake on the website. We assume you have read and accepted our terms and conditions if you buy an experience day or your own vehicle track day over the phone with a staff member.
Calls to the Trackdays.co.uk booking line are recorded for staff training purposes; however, call recording is turned off if sensitive information is supplied over the phone. The inclusion of an experience range does not indicate that we guarantee any of our suppliers' safety standards or excellent performance, despite the fact that all of our providers are well-known and have been carefully vetted.
Our suppliers' Public Liability Insurance will cover all Trackdays.co.uk event attendees. Other insurance options may be found in the Insurance section, such as 'Own Vehicle and Personal Accident Cover.'
We do not accept open wheel cars on regular public track days.
Trackdays.co.uk has the right to change these terms at any moment and without prior notice to customers.
