Wickenby Aerodrome Driving Experiences

What makes Wickenby Aerodrome good for supercar driving experiences? See answer

Wickenby Aerodrome uses a large runway layout that is particularly well suited to supercar driving experiences. The open airfield setup gives drivers plenty of room to accelerate, brake and experience the performance of high-powered cars without the tighter confines of a traditional race circuit. Because of the wide layout and forgiving run-off space, it is especially popular with first-time drivers looking for a less intimidating introduction to supercar driving.

What cars can you drive at Wickenby Aerodrome? See answer

Wickenby Aerodrome offers a wide range of supercars, classic cars and movie cars depending on the experience package booked. Regularly available cars include Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Aston Martin, Audi R8, Porsche and Nissan GT-R models, alongside cars such as the Ariel Atom, Ford Mustang and Subaru Impreza. Multi-car experiences are especially popular at Wickenby because the runway layout works well for comparing different styles of performance car back-to-back.

Is Wickenby Aerodrome suitable for beginners? See answer

Yes, Wickenby Aerodrome is very beginner-friendly thanks to its open airfield layout and simple runway-based driving format. Unlike tighter racing circuits, the venue feels more relaxed and forgiving for first-time drivers, while still allowing drivers to experience strong acceleration and high speeds. Every experience includes instructor guidance and a safety briefing before heading out onto the course.

Do I need a driving licence to drive at Wickenby Aerodrome? See answer

Most adult driving experiences at Wickenby Aerodrome require a full UK driving licence, although some experiences may allow provisional licence holders. Junior driving experiences are also available for younger drivers from around 10 years old depending on the package, allowing children and teenagers to drive selected supercars under professional instructor supervision without needing a licence.
