Sandtoft Airfield Driving Experiences
One of our newest venues for Supercar Driving Experiences in the East Midlands, Sandtoft Airfield is located just outside Doncaster in Belton in North Lincolnshire. The 886m tarmac runway is a perfect surface to drive fast cars on. On the longest straight (and assuming you are being a good student) you can get up to around 115 - 120 mph in a Supercar before having to brake for the corner. A full lap is approximately 1 mile long, and the track itself is made up of 7 corners which are marked out on the runway using lines and cones. This means you will get to experience the amazing acceleration, braking and speed of the Cars. Sandtoft (also known as Doncaster Airfield) is an active airfield so there are only a handful of driving days per season. The visitor facilities include portaloos, some spectator shelters and a Cafe.

Also known as Sandtoft Aerodrome, Sandtoft Airfield is based in the tiny North Lincolnshire hamlet of Sandtoft, which is also home to the satellite base of the Yorkshire Aero Club. And as of June 2023, we've been offering our Trackdays customers in the East Midlands and North Yorkshire border the opportunity to book on for one of our exhilarating driving experience days here as well.
It's in close proximity to both Scunthorpe and Doncaster via the M180 motorway. As you would expect for a venue like this, given it's primary use is as an airfield, what facilities are available on-site are fairly basic, but there is an on-site café that is open 7 days a week, together with portaloos and spectator shelters to take in all the action from.
What Cars Can I Drive at Sandtoft Airfield?
Many of our bestselling and newest driving experiences are on offer to drive for either 3 miles, or double up to enjoy 6 miles over at Sandtoft. This includes some of our latest models such as the V12 powered Ferrari 599, the Mercedes AMG GT, and the all new 2023 model of the Toyota Supra GR.
Of course, there's also a wealth of turbocharged marques including the Audi R8, Ariel Atom, Aston Martin DB9, Lamborghini Gallardo and Porsche 911 amongst others that can be booked onto as part of our Supercar Driving Experiences, where you can drive up to six supercars of your choice all on the same day!
As well as all that, there's a chance to drive something a bit vintage with our Classic Car Choice packages, offering up the greatest selection of both British and American vintage motors of all time, and our Rally Car Special packages, offering the opportunity for budding McRaes and Loebs with their dreams on WRC glory the chance to drive up to three rally spec cars.
No driving licence yet, or maybe you're still working towards getting yours? We also offer a number of special Provisional Licence Driving Experiences in many of the cars in our fleet here at Sandtoft - so you can get to test drive some epic wheels, all under the guidance and encouragement of an expert instructor to boot.
And actually an airfield is the ideal location for these experiences, because it means you're free of the pressures of say, being out on a dedicated motorsports track or the open road, so you can really enjoy the power and performance on offer!
