The McLaren MP4-12C was the first car wholly designed by McLaren since the McLaren F1 back in 1998. With Frank Stephenson brought on board to oversee design and conception in 2008, the final design of the car was first seen in 2009, and it was launched in 2011, immediately establishing itself as the British performance car giant’s signature model of their fleet.
Like the F1 before it, the MP4-12C makes extensive use of carbon fibre throughout, including in its composite chassis, which naturally make it a lighter, more aerodynamic car and offering a performance to match than any equivalent of its kind.
The car runs on a longitudinal mid-mounted 3.8 V8 twin turbo engine, which can produce approximately 592 bhp, helping it accelerate swiftly from 0 - 60 mph in 3.3 seconds, and you can expect to reach top speeds of around 205 mph once behind the wheel of this most exquisite of McLarens.
