The Lotus Elise built by the English manufacturer Lotus Cars is a rear wheel drive, 2 seat, mid engined roadster, which was released in September 1996. The Elise was named after the Granddaughter of Romano Aritoli who at the time of the cars release was chairman of Lotus. Due to it's weight the Elise can reach 0-60 in a impressive 5.8 seconds.
