The United Kingdom has a long and rich history of motor racing and is still a big player in the modern motor racing scene, hosting prestigious events such as F1, WRC, MotoGP and more at various tracks across the country. Formula One especially is inextricably linked to the UK, and England in particular with 8-time Constructors' Championship winners McLaren and 9-time Constructors' Championship winners Williams calling it home. A number of other F1 teams are also based in England with Lotus, Red Bull Racing, and Mercedes all operating here.
The UK has also produced its fair share of motor racing talent, with the likes of Lewis Hamilton, John Surtees, Mike Hailwood, Graham & Damon Hill and Sir Stirling Moss to name just a few.
