The Barrage Cafe on the top floor offers great views of the site. This centre is one of the largest manmade white water courses in the UK, thanks to advanced technology that pumps and circulates water 24/7, while upstream levels of the River Tees remain stable. The innovative use of RapidBlocs—special building blocks—helps shape the water flow, creating features like whirlpools and drops, or ‘playspots,’ enjoyed by experienced paddlers. A ‘magic carpet' conveyor belt system keeps your boat in position at the end of the rapids, allowing you to glide back effortlessly to the start—brilliant! During this one-hour experience, beginning gently, you'll loop through the 300m Jubilee course.
