The cream tea was lovely and they had vert kindly swapped the strawberry jam for blackcurrant jam, due to my allergy. The young lad on the train, Ollie, is a credit to the railway. He was dressed in a guards uniform and is extremely knowledgeable about the railway. All the staff are friendly and appear to enjoy their jobs. All in all a great experience

Great train ride , took us back to when we were children travelling with parents to visit Grandma and Granddad. Many memories coming back as we watched the engine moving from one end of the carriages to the other. All this followed by a lovely cram tea made possible by a gift voucher from the family really to be recommended.

I was a little dissapointed with the train ride. Travelling with disabled passengers I had the impression that there was an adapted carriage for wheelchairs etc .I emailed our needs in advance. The adapted carriage turned out to be the guards van which wasnt ideal for seeing the scenery. The staff however were very attentive. On the day we went for our experience it was raining quite hard and the cafe was full and also a step to get into it.We had a very long wait to be able to get into the cafe.Saying that, once we managed to get in the cream tea was lovely. Very tasty scones and plenty of jam and cream.I would recommend this experience for anyone without disabilities but if you have mobility issues it needs very careful planning.
