Whether you’re a seasoned rider or a complete novice, this western experience is perfect for those looking for a relaxing horse ride with an extra element of fun. Riding either a ‘paint’ or appaloosa (spotty) horse in full western turnout, you are sure to look and feel like a cowboy. With 94,000 acres of ancient New Forest National Park land to explore, the 90 minute trail ride takes you across open plains, wooded enclosures and leafy glades. Leave the stresses and worries of life behind you, relax and enjoy a gentle trail through the stunning countryside.

On the day you will be asked to complete a registration and acceptance form before receiving a short safety briefing from your instructor. Your western trail then begins with a short lesson in the arena before heading out in to the New Forest. Roam through the stunning scenery of grasslands and heaths, amongst the New Forest ponies and foals and on into the woodlands, where you may even spot the forests herds of fallow or roe deer. For a small fee you can upgrade your ride to a weekend date, please enquire on booking.
