You’ll be part of a sponsorship programme for apiaries based in East Anglia - Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex - but you can adopt the hives wherever you’re based in the UK. The hives are maintained by head beekeeper Stacy. She made the move to beekeeping a few years ago having worked in food and beverage marketing, and now lives out in the countryside on the border where Suffolk meets Norfolk, and also maintains a number of apiaries in Essex - some tens of thousands of bees all accounted for! The Drone Bee Sponsorship pack includes a welcome pack, full of information about the hive you’ve adopted, the bees in them and how the colony operates. And there’s also something sweet to really tantalise your tastebuds, as there’s a delicious jar of unpasteurised honey straight from the hive, from which you can taste all the delicious flavours of the wild flower meadows that are around the hives. You’ll all receive updates on all the latest activity in your hive across the year, as well as information on when foraging and thus harvesting season starts!
